How much does a non-church wedding in the UK typically cost?

You ask for the cost of a non-church wedding – but then list all the bits associated with a church wedding. Why? A register office marriage will cost a few quid – end of! My second marriage was a register office do. Apart from the two of us, we had two friends. The four of us went to a pre-booked lunch in an upmarket country pub with a great log fire, had a very pricey and fantastic meal with plenty of champers. (But there is a limit on how much a meal for four will cost. Anyone can afford that!). One of the friends was a cousin of mine. Throughout the years (40+) since that wedding he has told many people that the very best wedding he ever attended, was mine! Just get married without all the over-expensive rubbish. If you are considering a register office do, PLUS all the other stuff that you list, there will not be a great difference in cost when compared with a church do! Keep your money for more important purchases.
