How Much Does A Teacup Weigh Versis A Tiny Chihuahua?
I have been breeding Chihuahuas, for a long time and I have #10 of my own. I can tell you for a fact, that there is no such thing, as a Teacup, Miniature, or Pocket Size Chihuahua. A Chihuahua is a Chihuahua, no matter what size it is. Some breeders, use these phrases as marketing tools, to describe the different sizes, that Chihuahua’s come in, but these are all incorrect. The term Teacup is nothing more, than the runt of a litter being bred with another runt, to produce a smaller puppy. I myself, refuse to breed any of my runts, because it’s very dangerous to the mother. There are only two types of Chihuahuas and they are Short Hair and Long Hair Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas normally weigh from 3-6 pounds. In some cases, a little heavier.
