how much energy will be saved as a result of the trials?
In general, the overall individual energy consumption will not change noticeably during the trial as the cycling only occurs for short periods during summer. However, some customers participating in the trial may experience increased energy savings from the installation of energy-efficient CFL lights and other energy efficiency adjustments the ENERGEX contractor will undertake at your home. As a community, however, the energy savings on peak demand loads are likely to be significant. The Summer 2007/2008 Cool Change trial demonstrated energy savings of 17%, and the Summer 2008/2009 trial achieved a 20% savings.
