The amount of disk space needed depends on the recording settings and number of chips on the capture card. In general, a 4 channel 30/30 FPS capture card has only 1 chip, and it is set to record at 320×240 resolution with non stop smart recording will require 5GB per day. Therefore, 8 channel 240/240 FPS capture card with the same setting will require 8 times the space which is 40GB per day.
