firefox is just like most party web-broser, it’s RAM-hungry. 1 million K seems ridiculously a lot for a single program (that’d be 1 GB of RAM btw not 1 TB). It really depends on what you do on firefox and how many tabs you open. If you play web-based mini games like those in kogregate,miniclip or those facbook games, it really eats up some significance amount of memory. So just close the tabs that you don’t need and other programs that are not necessary. Cancel those unnecessary start up programs in msconfig. In Firefox, reduce the history (how many days firefox retains your web activity history) from 90 days to 2 days. In the URL, type about:config type browser.cache.disk it will filter out, double click on the first one and change it to 15000 (reduce the amount of RAM goes into cache) Use Speedyfox http://www.crystalidea.
