How much money do professional javelin throwers earn?
Throwers don’t make anywhere near as much money as the sprinters or elite distance runners make. Their contracts are not as good because they are not in a big name event and the public is not going to buy lots of javelin shoes or javelins. They will not get endorsement contracts because outside the few people that follow track and field no one has heard of them so they are relatively not famous. They are not going to be millionaires and are probably lucky if they can make more than a living wage, except for the gold medal winner and then only in his home country.
