The BCCI or the Board of Cricket Control in India is going to be receiving a whooping sum of 11.47 million US dollars as guarantee money from the proceedings from the mega tournament of the 2007 Cricket World Cup that was played in the Carribean in the months of March and April. The Secretary for the Board of Cricket Control India, Mr.Niranjan Shah would receive the money on behalf of the BCCI from the International Cricket Council for the reason of sending the Indian cricket team to take part in the World Cup 2007. As according to Mr. Niranjan Shah, all the test-playing nations who sent their cricket teams to participate in the Cricket World Cup 2007 in the West Indies would receive the same amount of money from the International Cricket Council. The players who were part of the cricket teams would also be granted a share from that amount given to their respective cricket boards. The number of test-playing nations who took part in the world cup was 10 including India.
