How much of the cell lysate or extract should I load on the gel?
A. We generally recommend loading 20-40 μg of the protein lysate on the gel. This depends on the type of cell lysate and protein that you are detecting by Western blot. In some cases we recommend to optimize the amount of protein that is required to be detected by a particular antibody. We also have the detailed Western Blotting protocol that we recommend to our customers.
