Ans: i) Passports in lieu of lost/damaged/stolen passports issued by Consulate General of India, New York is reissued after 7 days, subject to checks. ii) Duplicate passports in lieu of lost/damaged/stolen passports are issued after receipt of clearance from the original Passport Issuing Authority. It may take 30 days or more.
