How often are grantees required to submit COPS Non-Hiring Progress Reports?
If the agency falls under the Uniform Administrative Requirements for institutions of higher education, hospitals and other non-profit organizations or commercial organizations in 28 CFR Part 70, they must submit a progress report on a quarterly basis. All other grantees will submit annual reports. Notification of the annual progress report collection will be sent to grantees in January. It will cover activities for the previous calendar year, with the report due 30 days thereafter. Notification of quarterly progress report collection will be sent to grantees n January/April/July/October, covering activities for the preceding calendar quarter, with the report due 30 days thereafter. Notification of the final progress report collection will be sent monthly to grantees with recently expired grants or cooperative agreements, with the report due 30 days thereafter.
