How quickly can consumers expect to see improvements?
Most improvements in the existing telecommunications network will be complete by the end of the first year. MI-Connection will upgrade the system over the next several months from 680 Megahertz (millions of cycles per second) to 862 Megahertz, resulting in increased Internet speeds and such advanced services such as Video On Demand and digital channels. A full system upgrade is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2009.
