How should I flavor homemade yogurt?
You have a choice for both Sweet and Savory. I write about both of those styles below.. Directly to your point, the acidity of fresh raw fruit goes great with yogurt. If your looking to do something healthy but not too sweet, you might try making some very strong herb tea (avoid anything too bitter) and mix that with fresh fruit or lightly cooked fruit. If your going sweet, you can of course just use fresh raw fruit.. Some fruit is nice when cooked or made into a compote, and those would be nice as well. The blueberry’s you mention will get sweeter if you cooked them but they would lose some of their health benefits. If your looking for something sweet and quick, some All Fruit Jam (with or without sugar is nice). Trail mix and other roasted nuts and grains can also be nice. A good commercial product would be Grapenuts. Myself I like Irish style oatmeal. If your going savory, which you can do.. then you have the whole world of herbs and spices.
