The soul’s intense emotions regarding love are a significant part of the human condition. As such, it is fitting that literature expounds on all aspects of love. Great care, however, is needed when dealing with this particular subject. The tendency towards intoxication with these emotions can defile the inherent purity of the subject. It is unfortunate that modern literature concerns itself exclusively with only one form of love – the romantic love between man and woman. If a literary work without some expression of the inner feelings of natural love is considered incomplete, then certainly it needs to include some expression of the refined and lofty emotions that flow from love of the Master of all works, the Source of good and kindness! Can the depth of this exquisite love be measured? Can it be encompassed by vast seas, or contained within expansive skies? The lack of artistic expression for this sublime love is corrected by the Bible’s holy song of love: Solomon’s Song of Songs. As
