How should my operators check to be sure the handlebar is properly latched on my BIG ELI Wheel seat?

After closing the handlebar and being sure the J-casting is in the cup, check to be sure the plunger knob is all the way in and then solidly hit up from the bottom of the handlebar to see if you can dislodge it.
