How soon should a thank-you note be sent?
The golden rule is to send thank you notes within 24 hours after the interview. If you can get it post-marked on the same day, that can really make you stand out. If I had to fly in for an interview, I always bring with me a supply of paper, envelopes and stamps so those thank you letters get out before I fly home.
