How to change the color, symbol and labels for the spatial data?
In the data frame, right-click on the majrds12 and select Properties from the menu. Now you will see the Layer Properties window. In the layer properties window you will see 9 tabs. General: It shows name of the layer. Source: It shows the location of the file and the co-ordinate system of the data. Selection: It facilitates to customize the selected feature color and symbol. Display: Display properties like Transparency Symbology: It is helpful to change the symbols used in the data and display them based on the categories. Fields: It shows the fields in the attribute table. Definition query: Helps to build and execute queries. Labels: Helps to label the features in that particular layer. Joins and Relate: Used to Join and Relate the different tables. Now click on the General tab and change the majrds12 name into Roads. Now select the Symbology tab. Click on the features on the Show box. Symbol selector window opens, when the symbol button is clicked. Choose the Major road symbol and
