1) Click Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -> Configuration Tools -> SQL Server Surface Area Configuration. 2) Click Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections. 3) On the left navigate pane, click Remote Connections under Database Engine node, click Local and remote connections, and click OK. 4) Restart the Database Engine service.
