How to own a spider monkey?
I don’t think it is advisable to try and own a spider monkey as a pet. Spider monkeys range from vulnerable to critically endangered so are probably best left in the wild. Also, most states and many communities have very specific laws regarding the ownership of exotic pets. Spider monkeys are designed for living in trees, so it would be very unfair to have one in a house. Also, because there is no pre-made spider monkey chow that I know of, it would probably be very expensive to make sure the animal had the proper nutrition. It is important to know the local laws before getting any sort of exotic pet, and make sure you know everything about the nutritional and housing requirements of the animal you are considering. Also, many primates are much stronger than humans, and can live several decades so make sure you know what you are getting into!
