How to pitch better?
First off, you’re not going to get better FAST. Pitching is just like any other physical skill…the more you do it, the more you practice, the better you get….but it takes time. My biggest advice is to listen to your coaches. It seems to me that making 3 appearances in 9 games isn’t a terrible ratio. You are young, but your arm only has a finite number of pitches in it. If you become as good as you think you can be, your coach is probably doing you a favor by saving your arm. You have an entire high school carreer, possibly college and possibly further ahead of you. If you work on hitting spots and arm strength now, I guarantee you’ll get your innings later. Be patient…if you perform, you’ll get your chance. . Some rules my pitching coaches lived by (former professionals) are: 1. Never throw change-up after a curve ball or other off-speed 2. Every pitch is a purpose pitch…do not “waste” pitches (like, If you have a batter 0-2 don’t just throw the next pitch a mile off the plate
