How to remove sketch pen marks from fabric sofa?
It really depends on the fabric and ink type. If it’s a more delicate fabric, seek specific advice from a dry cleaner. And depending of what kind of ink is in the pen, there are all kinds of sketch pens with ink that might be washable or be permanent, pigment ink.
For fabric, lemon juice and a spirit alcohol above 80% proof like vodka, gin or whiskey can be soaked into a towel or cloth and rubbed in gently.
At the more abrasive end for sturdier fabrics, you can try acetone (nail polish remover). Baking soda or baking soda mixed with toothpaste and a 6% diluted hydrogen peroxide – beware, any stronger and you could lighten or bleach the fabric, so be gentle. You can add water to dilute further if you’re nervous.
Apply these by dampening a cloth in the solution and rubbing into the material of the sofa. Allow to soak in until dry, and then “rinse” out with a clean, damp cloth or a sponge with soap or washing-up liquid and water until it comes clean.
