How to test hypothesis in minitab?
It depends a lot on the type of hypothesis test you want to perform. Minitab can do a lot. You can perform some tests by having the data in columns in the spreadsheet or you can summarize the data as well. For example, if you want to do a hypothesis for the mean, to determine if the mean is different from a given value then you can place the observed data in a column and then go to the menu Stat -> Basic Statistics -> 1-Sample Z or 1-Sample t in the dialog box that comes up you can enter the columns where the data is stored. If you do not have data then you can check the summarized data option and fill in the information requested. The Options… button will allow you to change the alternate hypothesis and the significance level of the test. Clicking the Perform hypothesis test option will allow you to conduct the hypothesis test for the hypothesized mean. There are also options under the Stat -> Basic Statistics menu for paired tests and two sample tests.
