How well do dummy files work with Dreamcast bootlegs?
It depends on the size of the release. If it’s a big one, like Code Veronica, there will be no discernable difference. If it takes up about the same room or less on the CD-ROM than does the high density area on a real GD-ROM, you can expect a HEALTHLY increase in load times. For example, when padded with a dummy file, the Utopia release of Dead or Alive 2 loads almost as fast as the GD-ROM original, lagging by only a few seconds during that beaut of an intro cinema.
