How well is the Gregory Wing long-term care unit staffed?

0

The Gregory Wing long-term care unit easily meets and exceeds the required staffing patterns identified by the State of Maine Department of Human Services. We provide a licensed nurse, typically a registered professional nurse, 24 hours per day. Other staff includes certified nursing assistants; activities, housekeeping, social work, and rehabilitation professionals; and medication technicians. We rarely utilize outside agencies for staffing. The Gregory Wing offers a Certified Nursing Assistant training program in concert with Boothbay Region Adult Education several times during the year. As a teaching facility, we employ our own Registered Nurse educator and maintain a philosophy of growing our own talent. We have a very talented long-term care team and this talent shows up in our quality statistics, which we will gladly share with you.
