How will ACGIH ensure that the right volunteers are chosen? Will AIHA play a role?
ACGIH will continue to ensure well qualified volunteers are selected and engage, and that there is appropriate balance between potential biases. Contributions will be sought from government, industry, labor and academia. The ACGIH Board and its designees will continue to select volunteers for guideline setting work. ACGIH will continue to value the input of important stakeholder, including professional members of AIHA. Importantly, AIHA and ACGIH see our new roles as interlocking in so far as making sure that the professionals we serve have the best tools possible to do their jobs.
