WTX enables users to handle the hardest, ugliest transformation challenges — complex, semi-structured, interdependent and disparate data types. While some users will find the Map node built into WebSphere Message Broker v6 — or any of the Broker’s other transformation options such as XSLT, ESQL Compute, or Java Compute — to be suitable for their needs, others with more complex transformation requirements, will see significant additional value in WTX. In particular, companies with complex requirements involving EDI and HIPAA or mixed data may find significant value. Companies with existing WTX skills may also see value in deploying WTX as their “standard” transformation option for all Broker transformation interactions. In addition, customers with existing WTX mapping assets can leverage those assets in the Message Broker environment, avoiding the cost associate with duplicating previous development efforts.
