How will schools using Learning P-12 benefit in the transition to an Australian curriculum?
Learning P-12 describes the key QSA curriculum documents that are now in place in Queensland and which provide teachers with a cohesive and cumulative P-12 approach to teaching, learning and assessment. Learning P-12 illustrates how we are on track to transition to an Australian curriculum through emphasising: • evidence-based syllabus design principles for equity and excellence • phases of learning for sequencing and continuity in learning • content and achievement standards and assessment that focus on depth of learning and higher order thinking based upon high expectations and standards for all students. These are consistent with the approach being developed for the Australian curriculum. Engaging with Learning P-12 curriculum documents will prepare Queensland teachers for transition to the national curriculum.
