How will Sustainability Appraisal (SA) of the JWDPD be undertaken?
GMGU have prepared a draft Scoping Report for consideration by the Joint Committee prior to consultation in September. This document sets out the Sustainability Appraisal Framework by which the plan will be assessed at each stage of its development. To ensure the SA undertaken is impartial, consultants have been commissioned to undertake this element of work. Members of the GMGU will work closely with the consultants throughout the preparation of the JWDPD to ensure that all work undertaken is compliant with the test of soundness examination.
