How will the Draft State Policy Coastal Management be implemented?
Coastal land management policies are to be implemented via existing land management tools administered by the relevant authorities. These may include local government land and water management plans, reserve management plans, natural resource management body plans and various other non-statutory plans and programs designed to guide effective land management and rehabilitation activities in the coastal zone. Where such plans and programs do not exist, land managers are advised to prepare a specific management plan to address specific coastal land-use, management and rehabilitation activities.
