How will the homes be maintained in the long-term?
BAH is reinvested to maintain the homes on Fort Leavenworth. As part of the operations budget, there are reserve accounts for between occupancy maintenance, twice yearly preventive maintenance, and routine maintenance of issues that arise. During each 10 year period following the initial development period, homes are phased to have minor or medium renovations with demolition and new construction. With redevelopment, Fort Leavenworth will progressively move to a state of the art community.
