Although effective 1/1/2011 dependents will be covered up to age 26 for Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), the age increase does not apply to the FEDVIP program. Under FEDVIP, dependents are still covered up to age 22. In addition, married children are eligible for coverage under the FEHB program but are not eligible for coverage under FEDVIP. There are no further affects of Health Care Reform on FEDVIP.
