How will we ensure that students have sufficient grounding in their principal subject/s?

Dual Honours students will be required to take a minimum of two modules (30 credits) in each of their principal subjects at each Level of their degree programme. In addition, they will be required to take at least two further modules (for a total of eight modules or 120 credits) in each of their principal subjects before then end of their degree. Some principal subjects have course regulations which require that a greater number of modules be taken each year due to professional body requirements (such as Law and the majority of Natural Sciences programmes). These principal subjects will usually require students to take a defined number of modules each year (between 30-60 credits’ worth). Single Honours students will be required to take a minimum of four modules (60 credits) in their Single Honours subject at each Level of study and they will also need to take at least a further five modules (75 credits) in their Single Honours subject before the end of their degree.
