How will we learn if a new well will reduce the quantity of water for existing wells?
Oftentimes we only know subjectively, after “new wells” are drilled near existing wells, that they may be reducing the total quantity of groundwater. Benton County has a groundwater ordinance (see current groundwater ordinance) for new developments to try and determine potential impacts on the aquifer prior to increased development.
