How will Winslow Way be better when it’s all over?
When the project is complete, the utility infrastructure below the street will be sufficient for the next 50 years and the environment above the street will be more kind to pedestrians. Broken sidewalks will be repaired and widened for better accessibility, pedestrian scale lighting and street trees will be added, and traffic flow will be improved through the creation of dedicated loading and drop-off areas. Sustainable elements such as permeable paving systems and rain gardens will also be incorporated into the design in order to enhance our surface water quality and assist with flooding problems.
