How would things have been different if Al Gore was president?
Under a President Gore, there would have been no war in Iraq, meaning no 4,000 forces killed and no 40,000 wounded. Three trillion dollars would also have been saved to use in our country. The national debt most certainly wouldn’t have tripled as it did under the Bush administration with a strong focus on tax cuts to their wealthy base. Most likely, under President Gore, mending fences with our allies wouldn’t have been necessary, green house gases wouldn’t threaten our planet, health care reform would have been enacted, stem cell research wouldn’t have been delayed for 8 years, and Gore would have heeded the warnings from his own administration that al Qaeda was our gravest threat (9/11 might have been prevented). You might say that Gore has gotten his revenge. He is a venerated figure, at least in some circles, while the majority of historians agree that George W.
