Yes. Google sites have minimal table formatting options at present. To make colored table or border less tables, make it first in your word editor program like MS Word or Write. Then copy it and paste in site’s editor. Use Chrome or Firefox browser. This is the simplest way. You can also edit the HTML code and change the table properties if you are familiar with HTML.
