I am somewhat familiar with Windows 3.0 programing (just enough to be dangerous I guess) but have not gotten into Win95 yet. Can you suggest a good reference book to go along with Win32Forth?
SAMS makes a book called Win32 API (ISBN 0-672-30364-7 or LCCN 93-84382) ( NOTE: June 4th, 1997 Unfortunately this book is now out of print.) which although it doesn’t document the Forth in any way, does document the Windows 32 API interface. It is the cheapest (about 50 dollars) and best resource I know of for anyone wanting to get started with Windows95 or NT programing. Otherwise you will have to spring for MS Visual C++ at about 400 dollars, or Symantec C++ about the same price.NOTE: June 4th, 1997 Addison Wesley Longman Inc publishes a book called “Win32 Programming” by Brent E. Rector and Joseph M. Newcomer with an ISBN number of 0-201-63492-9. Published December 1996. This is a very extensive (and expensive but worth it) book on Win32 programming concepts, but it is not as much of a symbol reference manual as the SAMS’s book.
