• Chances are you are running in Windows 3.1 or the Mac which only supports 16 colors for graphics. If the color you selected is not one of the 16 colors already used, the software will try to snap the color to what its closest color substitute based on RGB values. You can get some strange effects; for example, dark greys can snap to a dark scarlet color. • If you’re not running under Windows 3.1 or Mac computers, then you’re graphics quality may be set to “Low” which is 16 color graphics. Go into the Tools -> Options -> Graphics dialog and change the Quality setting to Medium or High.
