I filed my Federal return elsewhere. Can I submit a State only return using eSmartTax?
(back to top) Yes, you are welcome to use eSmartTax to file one or multiple State returns even if you have already e-Filed your Federal return elsewhere. However, when you start a new return, you need to enter the Federal information first, then continue on to State returns. When you click Proceed to e-file, you will have the choice NOT to file the Federal return and to file the State return only.
