I have completed the Tutorial Level 2: Advanced Training mission using only the Thief. Why won the level exit successfully?

You need to use both Commandos in conjunction in order to beat this level and reach the Mission Accomplished screen, in accordance with the Tutorial’s instructions. If you use only the Thief, you will not trigger all of the level’s mission scripts, thus you will not be able to successfully complete this level.
