I have heard horror stories about wedding videographers and their equipment getting in the way. How intrusive is the video process?
I take pride in being unobtrusive, so you will hardly notice I am there. That is one of the reasons I attend the rehearsal before the ceremony, so I can plot a discreet placement of the cameras and be out of the way. In fact, one of the most consistent compliments we get from clients after the wedding day is over is that they hardly remember we were there! My attitude is that you are the star of the “show” and my job is to make you both look as good as possible. I have years of experience as a TV documentary producer; becoming that unnoticed “fly-on-the-wall” is what enables me to capture candid, real stuff. If people know your pointing a camera at them, they freeze up and become fake. People don’t turn “fake” in my documentaries. That’s why they are so good!
