A. You are allowed to claim medical expenses for any 365-day period ending in the current year. For example: if there is an unclaimed dental receipt from November 15 last year, the 365-day period allowing the receipt extends to November 14 of the current year. Alternatively, if medical expenses were claimed in the previous year, it is possible to add the November 15 receipt to the total, send in an adjustment request, and have a reassessment on last years taxes processed.
