I inserted a Matrox display controller board and my system locks up once I login into Windows®. What can I do?

Please try the following suggestions. a) Boot up into safe mode by pressing the F8 key at the boot menu. b) Uninstall any third party graphics card drivers including the Matrox driver, and reinstall them. c) Update your motherboard bios. Some older system might not detect the Matrox board correctly. Updating the motherboard BIOS might resolve this.
