I live outside of the United States. What accounts for the differences between US and non-US retail prices?
There is a difference in price due to a number of factors. First, Zigo does not distribute direct to dealers outside of the United States. Second, there are differences in international and local transportation costs, dependent on where your country is located and the size of your country. Finally, importing any goods into your country will incur import duties and local sales tax (VAT) on top of the value of the goods. Duties and VAT vary a great deal from country to country. The US price, for instance, does not include VAT.
