Beginning the Fall 2012 admission cycle the Prerequisite GPA will no longer be calculated. Applicants will still be required to complete the Preprofessional courses. For the Fall 2011 admission cycle: The University of Alberta DDS Program will use the first passing grade. Credit will not be granted twice for the same course. You may not repeat a course you have previously passed. If you do so the repeated grade will be excluded from your GPA. To improve a pre-requisite course grade, take a higher-level course in the subject area and the highest grade will be used in the pre-requisite GPA calculation.
