I received approval for a lot line adjustment (or Certificate of Compliance). Why doesn it show on the Assessors Parcel Maps yet?
The Assessor’s Office assigns parcel numbers for assessment purposes only, based upon deeds and maps recorded with the County Recorder’s Office. The lot line adjustment approval is authority for you to record the document. If a portion of the property changes ownership in the transaction, it will be subject to reappraisal.
