I see that the Inion Trinion™ meniscal screw is green colored. Does the color work as a depth indicator?
The use of colour provides clear visibility during screw insertion and also assists in the establishing the final position of the screw. It also provides for a clear athroscopic view. It also allows for assessment of depth of penetration of the implant. This is particularly important when implanting into the back of the capsule where there are vascular structures to avoid.
