Thanks for the question. The NCCP recognition of Sears I Can Swim will be available as of Fall 2010. Information will be posted here on the nccpswimming.org website – and through I Can Swim. • If our coaches NCCP coaching card says skills coach certification, should she register with CSCTA as skills coach or as NCCP level 1? I am asking because she said her peers with the same level of coaching as her have registerd as NCCP level 1, but since her card says skills coach she is thinking that is what she should register as? Thanks for the help. Coaches who have been certified or trained since 2003 in the “new NCCP” would have gone through the Skills Coach or Fundamentals Coach programs as their first course. These new titles should be used when asked. Transition from the “Old” to “New” NCCP is ongoing, and coaches who are currently certified only in the “Old” number system, will be expected to update their certification.
