There are a couple of ways that you can create a bootable Mac OS X CD, and by far the easiest is using BootCD from CharlesSoft. BootCD is a Cocoa app that creates a disk image that can be used to burn a Mac OS X boot CD with a working Finder and Dock on it. Click HERE to visit their home page. A little background on bootable Mac OS X CDs: One of the first people to start to really talk about creating bootable Mac OS X CDs was Mike Bombich. He has a very extensive web page about this, and defers the creation (and questions) to CharlesSoft now. Mike is the very talented creator of Carbon Copy Cloner, which we recommend very highly and use frequently here at OWC. Mike was also a guest speaker in our booth at MacWorld San Francisco 2003.
