As Cnale has pointed out the ground rent is quite extortionate, and all the sites I have heard of are closed for at least two months in the winter – so you have to find somewhere else to live for that time. Most will have rules on pets and I have never heard of any that allow any kind of livestock (presumably we are just talking chickens here). Some will have an area which you can garden – though when I was searching for similar I even found ones with rules on that- eg no veg growing allowed!! I knocked the idea on the head – and bought a lovely detached little wooden bungalow, freehold, which I am more than happy with, and I don’t have to vacate for 2 months every year, can grow what I like and have the animals I like. Most importantly there are no regulations to abide by except the law of the land.
