I want to start a personal training business and want to get certified. What can the NSCA Certification Commission do for me?
The NSCA-CPT program is for a person who is already a personal trainer and wants to earn certification. The examination materials that we offer review the content areas covered on the examination; they do not instruct a person on how to become a personal trainer. We do not offer courses in preparation for the examination. If you are not currently a personal trainer, you might wish to contact an organization that provides instructional courses on how to become a personal trainer. While there are many groups that do this, one organization to consider is IDEA Health and Fitness Association. The phone number for IDEA is 800-999-4332, and IDEA’s web address is www.ideafit.com.
